Creative Director & Lead Writer
Wrote the Vel'Draan lore bible over three years of lunch breaks before quitting his day job. Still hand-scripts every boss's dialogue.

Forge a four-hero party, master rune-charged turn-based combat, and climb the ashen spires of Vel'Draan to topple the Ember Dragon. Over 40 hours of hand-pixelled adventure, built one sprite at a time in Bermondsey, London.
Every mode runs on our custom 8-bit engine at a crisp 60fps, with chiptune scores recorded on original hardware. Pick a path and start your descent.

Lead Pixel Artist
Animates every hero frame-by-frame at 32×32. Responsible for the Ember Dragon's 48-frame wing cycle that took a full month.

Engine & Combat Systems
Built our turn-based engine from scratch in Rust. Obsessed with initiative math and making 60fps feel weighty on old hardware.

Composer & Sound
Records every track on a restored 1987 synth chip. The Fallow Village theme has been stuck in three continents' heads.
Thousands have descended the spire. Here's what a few of them said after the credits rolled.

“The co-op turn-sharing is genius — my partner and I finished the whole campaign over a fortnight of evenings and never stopped arguing over relic picks. That final Ember fight had us both off the sofa.”
“I bought it for the nostalgia and stayed for the writing. Every side quest actually pays off, and the three endings genuinely feel earned rather than tacked on. Best £18.99 I've spent this year.”
“As someone who makes games myself, the Pixel Forge editor blew me away. I built a five-room dungeon in an afternoon and had strangers playing it by the evening. Rare to see tools this open.”

The game runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus Steam Deck (verified). A Nintendo Switch port is in certification and expected in late 2026. Save files sync across every platform through your free guild account.
The demo includes the first two chapters — roughly three hours — with full combat, party forging, and the opening boss. Your demo save carries directly into the full campaign, so no progress is ever lost when you upgrade.
Not at all. The custom engine is built for old hardware and targets any machine from the last decade. It needs about 400MB of storage and runs at a locked 60fps on integrated graphics.
